Biševo - Blue Cave

The Blue Cave is located on the east side of the island of Biševo, in the bay Baluni. It has been available to the public since 1884, when the external entrance was opened, through which one enters the cave today with a small rowing boat with only a few people in it. Otherwise, it has its natural entrance below sea level, so before it could only be entered by diving. From then until today, the cave has become the number one destination for tourists from all over the world.

What amazes its visitors is this natural phenomenon that creates a magical effect of blue and silver glow. The cave should be visited around noon when the sun penetrates at the best angle through the underwater entrance and reflecting from the bottom creates the impression of sky blue.
